We had a nice day with the Vega Valverde family today. Braulio Valverde, whose mother and sisters attend our branch, recently turned 8 and today was his baptismal day. Elder Munroe baptized his father, Luis, last year and so it was important to him to also be baptized by Elder Munroe. You can click HERE to read about Luis' baptism. We gave him a set of scriptures and a few laminated pictures to help him remember his special day.
Here are Braulio, Rocio Vega (his mother), Jennifer Chacon (his oldest sister), and Jonathan (Jennifer's fiance) before the baptism. Hermana Rocio has tried to remain a strong member in the gospel and many people in her family have been blessed by her faith. Jennifer, her oldest daughter, was baptized in February and met her fiance in a singles ward in San Jose. They will be married this next year so that they can be sealed in the San Jose Temple. Katherine, the middle daughter, was not able to attend the baptism for some reason. Here are Elder Munroe and Braulio just before he was baptized. We are happy for Braulio and his decision to be baptized. We know that he will be blessed throughout his life as he uses the scriptures and prayer as a guide to help him return to his heavenly father someday. Welcome to the Los Santos Branch Braulio!

That is a funny one! Believe me it was not Elder Moonroy's piece of work but more like Presidente Jeminez. It is a real wonderment!
