Little Neymar was welcomed into the world this week by his parents Honorio and Maria. We picked up Honorio in San Marcos today and drove with him to Cartago to pick up Maria from the hospital.
We watched many couples leave the hospital with their new babies. There were no frills. No wheelchairs for the new moms, no car seats or baby carriers required, and no rules or laws. Everyone just walked our holding their babies or jumped in a taxi with their baby in their arms and drove away. It was a new experience for us to witness.

Neymar was named after a young Brazilian soccer player who is a favorite of many. He sure is a calm little baby and has been born into a family who is ready to surround him with love. 
Just read through your blog. It looks like you are really having a wonderful time. We spent last week in Prescott and thought about you while we were there. The weather is certainly wonderful. Had a real nice rainstorm too. Glad to see all is well with you. Costa Rica looks so green and beautiful in the photos. We get an e-mail occasionally from the Zapota ward where we served. We're enjoying our family history service-mission call. We wear a missionary badge when we are at the center and Sundays. We have a year left to serve. Los Marx
