We have become close friends with the Ballestero family from Santa Maria. Leda was the Relief Society President when we arrived here and Carlos has been serving as the Ward Mission Leader. Vivi (Leda's daughter) is a sweet gal and has given Hermana Munroe weekly Spanish lessons for months. For all of these reasons, we have spent lots of time with them and we have made an effort to have "get together's" for dinner, etc.
We had a cookout on Saturday, at their home, and it turned out great. The food was delicious! Hermana Munroe took marinated chicken, a salad, and some brownies. The Ballestero's had pork chops, sausages, rice, and homemade tortillas. It was quite the feast!
